Description from Merchant:
ORIGINALS:
Originals are created using Professional grade paints; usually Liquitex Heavy Body Acrylics, Golden Heavy Body Acrylics, Winsor & Newton and or Grumbacher brands.
Canvases sometimes include pre stretched Fredrix brand, but are often ordered in rolls and stretched by me.
STRETCHER BARS:
I use 'Best' stretcher bars, made in the USA.
"BEST stretcher bars are made by Jack Richeson & Co., Inc. in Kimberly, Wisconsin. Jack Richeson & Co., Inc. was founded by Jack Richeson, art collector and enthusiast.
Quality stretcher bars are not just another piece of wood. For BEST Artist Products, every bar is selected from the finest raw material. The bars must be free of knots and completely straight. BEST offers a world of museum-quality stretcher bars: Aluminum Gallery Wrap Bars, Aluminum Pro-Bars, Heavy-Duty Pine Super Bars, Medium-Duty Bars, Light-Duty Bars, as well as Cross Braces, BEST Keys, and Hardboard Corners. All the bars are designed so that the canvas is always a full ½″ from the stretcher bar to ensure that there will be no “ghost” impressions on the canvas. The rounded back edge reduces surface friction and allows for a smoother, tighter draw of the fabric for a snug, more even painting surface. BEST stretcher bars are designed by artists and crafted from kiln-dried pine. They are the finest made today."
CANVASES I USE:
-Centurion Artist Quality Linen Canvas:
Extra strong, quality pure linen.
Primed with 2 coats of acid-free titanium primer.
For use with a variety of paint media including oils, acrylics, casein,
alkyds, egg tempera and more.
-Senso Clear Primed Linen:
This is heavyweight 14oz professional linen canvas. The surface has a medium tooth with a good paint gripping texture. The clear primer shows off the superb neutral tones of the linen canvas, which can be used by any artist to create unique painting effects. The linen is clear acrylic primed and will take acrylic colors, oil colors, caseins, alkyds, egg tempera, and pastels. Senso linen canvas rolls have transparent sizing so you can work toward light and dark from the canvas' middle color. The neutral color allows to sketch in both light and dark.
PRINTS:
All my vendor's canvas wraps are printed directly onto museum-quality canvas material using high-quality archival inks.
These may include:
Gloss canvas:
It is a thick 350 gsm 2x1 19 mil, Ph-neutral, poly-cotton canvas that's perfect for photo or art reproduction. We use OEM archival water-based inks.
OR
Satin canvas:
This canvas is a real satin canvas meaning no reflections. Besides this it's the same canvas with the same texture and the same general characteristics.
Advantages:
High-saturation
High-contrast
No reflections
Archival
No cracks
